Are you thinking about starting a travel blog that you can monetize through affiliate marketing? If so, this post is the place for you! In this article, we’ll review our top pick for the best affiliate marketing course for bloggers: Blogging Fast Lane.
We’ll tell you everything you need to know about the course, it’s teachers, and what you can expect to start monetizing your blog through affiliate marketing!
What is Affiliate Marketing?
Before we reveal why we think Blogging Fast Lane is the best affiliate marketing course out there for travel bloggers, let’s take a second to make sure we’re on the same page with affiliate marketing.
What is affiliate marketing, anyway? Affiliate marketing is a way for bloggers to monetize their blogs. When you use a product and love it, you may want to tell your readers about it. So, you write a blog all about the best face wash, for example. Now that you’ve done all that work to tell your readers about it, you can add links for your readers to buy the face wash. If you’ve signed up to become an affiliate, or sometimes called a partner, of the brand, you can add special links to your website that allow you to get a portion of the sale of anyone who clicked through your link to buy.
Pretty neat, especially when you’re advertising products and services that you love, anyway! But, successfully getting affiliate sales is a lot more than just adding links to your blog. So, if you want to learn the strategy behind affiliate marketing so that you can maximize your affiliate sales, stay tuned as we tell you all about the best marketing course for doing just so!
What is Blogging Fast Lane?
Blogging Fast Lane is an online blogging course created by two successful travel bloggers and entrepreneurs. Their programs are designed to give bloggers the skills and information they need to turn their blogs into money-making machines. Whether you are just starting or have been at it for a while, you’ll learn the technical skills and insider knowledge to run your blog like a business. Perhaps more importantly, you’ll finally have the key to living out your blogging dreams!
About Anna and Tom
Anna Faustino and Tom Rogers are the founders of the Blogging Fast Lane. When they first started their travel blog, Anna and Tom couldn’t seem to get it right. After hours creating content, they realized that if they wanted to make money to keep travelling, they’d need a strategy. Fortunately, that strategy and a lot of hard work allowed them to blog and travel full time! Realizing they had cracked the code on blogging as a business, they created the Blogging Fast Lane course to help bloggers just like you and me profit through affiliate marketing.
Anna and Tom now instruct the self-paced Blogging Fast Lane course (BFL). With over 1.4K students, it’s safe to say that Anna and Tom understand the business of profiting from their passions. Not only do they understand the subject matter, but they are also former teachers. Owing to this, they know how to explain technical topics in a way anybody can understand.
If you want to learn from someone who knows their stuff and knows how to teach, look no further.

Unlike other programs we’ve tried, BFL is heavily focused on affiliate sales and content strategy. To expand, anyone can write blog posts. But, Anna and Tom will show you exactly how to research, plan, and optimize a blog for affiliate sales so that you get those conversions! It goes without saying that this is of great value. Follow the included Road Map, and you’ll be well on your way to your first affiliate sale!
Upon enrollment, you’ll receive instant access to all of the course materials. Each of the 75+ lessons contains some combination of video, slide presentations, and action items.
In order to accommodate your schedule, the course is self-paced. You have lifetime access to the course materials and super active Facebook community. Nevertheless, the course content is structured to be watched over eight weeks. This doesn’t include any bonus materials or time to craft blogs, emails, sign up for affiliate programs, etc. In fact, the included road map gives an outline of how to build your blog over the next year.
Who is the Affiliate Blogging Program for?
The Blogging Fast Lane program isn’t for everyone. See below for a summary of who makes the best students.
People Who Should Join
If you need help creating a blog or have a blog you’d like to level up, BFL may be able to help!
Successful students:
- are determined to build a successful blog
- desire time freedom
- are focused and strategic
- want to profit from sharing their passions with others
- believe in working smarter, not harder
- are ready to invest in themselves
Who Shouldn’t Join
Blogging Fast Lane isn’t for everyone. Although the materials are phenomenal, the BFL team is just there for support. This is your blog, after all.
You might look elsewhere if you:
- are starting a blog just for fun
- aren’t passionate about your topic
- expect instant results
- find learning new technology challenging
- want an overview of blogging and details on how to start in the first place (For that, we recommend this course.)
Not sure if you should join the BFL fam? No worries. Whereas other programs allow you to purchase outright, BFL is committed to making sure that their program is the best fit for you. To expand, you must watch the introductory webinar prior to purchase. In the webinar, you’ll learn all about affiliate marketing strategy!
BFL Syllabus
The BFL syllabus is broken into four modules. Each of those modules is then broken down into eight weeks. During each module, you’ll work on the associated content. You’ll also pause at various “Pit Stops.” During the pit stops, you’ll spend additional time signing up for affiliate programs, writing blogs, and completing other tasks beyond the initial eight weeks!
Module 1: Funnel Foundations
If attracting and converting readers is a foreign concept, that’s okay! You’ll learn the basics that will become the foundation of your funnel.
Expect to spend time this week getting into the right mindset. This includes organizing yourself using project management tools, identifying your niche, and creating your customer avatar. Plus, you’ll set attainable goals with help from the experts.
At the end of the week, you’ll hit your first pit stop. If you’re a new blogger, stop here to launch your blog using the included bonus materials. You’ll spend a lot of time and energy learning WordPress. Although it’s doable, there is definitely a learning curve for beginners! Also, you’ll need to spend some money on your domain name and site hosting.
Because I had already created my own travel blog on WordPress, I didn’t follow this section of the course. You can choose to follow their suggestions for site hosting and theme, but I recommend purchasing your domain and hosting through Bluehost. Of the hosting sites I’ve tried, it’s my favorite. Mostly, this is due to the fact that they have amazing customer service and will help with any technical issues related to your site in minutes. You can get started with Bluehost for $2.95/mo.
If you’re like me and already have a blog set up, move on to the next module!
Module 2: Affiliate Marketing Mastery
In module two, you’ll learn how to make affiliate commissions by promoting other people’s products on your site.
BFL will give you everything you need to optimize your site for affiliate sales. First, they’ll teach you how to find relevant affiliate partners. Find a partner, and sign up!
Then, get to work on an affiliate strategy. This is where this course really shines. Anyone can write content and add links. But, being strategic about your content and what types of products and services you promote can skyrocket your growth.
At the end of the module, you’ll become an affiliate master and learn to generate passive income from your blog. That right there is why we think this is the best affiliate marketing course for bloggers!
Module 3: Search Omnipresence
This is the beefiest part of the course. With your blog set up and affiliate strategy in place, you can finally begin to create content.
For three weeks, you’ll learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how to leverage it to drive traffic to your site. In other words, you’ll learn to make money on your site by creating the types of articles people want to read.
After learning the basics of SEO, you’ll create a content strategy for your blog. Existing bloggers will benefit from the section on how to audit your blog and get the right type of traffic. This is where you get to be creative and technical – keyword research, strategy, and writing.
At the end of the third module, you’ll feel confident that all the work you’ve been putting in will make you money! At the Pit Stop, you can start implementing everything you’ve learned!
Module 4: Trust Marketing
It’s time for the last module. After having built your site, mastered affiliate marketing, SEO, and content creation, you will now learn trust marketing.
For this section, you’ll learn how to generate an email list. An email list allows you to connect with your readers on a deeper level and help them achieve their goals or solve their problems using your affiliate links.
First, you’ll craft a freebie that readers can download in exchange for their email address. Once you have their email, you can then send them lots of value and promote products and services to them directly.
Pat yourself on the back after finishing your last module. You’re now ready to focus on creating amazing content for your readers!
Why I Chose BFL’s Affiliate Marketing Course
After a year of blogging, I was still all over the place. I had taken some other courses that allowed me to build the blog from scratch and start seeing traffic. Still, I didn’t have a clear vision for how to build the blog into a profitable business.
Tired of writing blogs that no one wanted to read, I thought about what I really needed from a blogging course:
- How to plan my content strategy while still being able to write about my passions
- How to find and be accepted to profitable affiliate programs
- Which advanced tools I’d need and how to use them
- When to grow my blogging business through outsourcing and collaborations
When I saw Blogging Fast Lane’s ad on Facebook, I was intrigued. I had already watched lots of webinars, and most of them had left me wanting more. However, Anna and Tom’s webinar was different. They offered tons of value and offered exactly what I wanted most: building an affiliate machine with blog strategy.
After watching the webinar, I did some more research. In the end, I still felt like I’d like to learn from Anna and Tom. So, I dove in.
Now, I’m writing this affiliate marketing course review in hopes that is helps you, too!
Is this Affiliate Marketing Course worth it?
You’re probably wondering by now, was Blogging Fast Lane worth it? And the answer is…
100% YES!
Since completing BFL, my blog readership has really taken off! Finally, I’m getting consistent organic traffic and making affiliate sales! Through Anna and Tom’s self-paced digital course, I was able to gain knowledge and confidence. I won’t lie — it’s a lot of work. But, it was worth the time, effort, and money.
Here’s why:
- You learn SEO and content strategy. This may help your blogs rank faster, which means people can find you.
- You find out how to create an affiliate marketing funnel.
- Outsourcing and collabs. Anna teaches you how to grow your business by hiring outside help and collaborating with other blogs — and why this is important.
- Email marketing is also included so that you can market your affiliate partners to your subscribers and make even more affiliate sales.
- Support. Not only will you learn from the course, but you will also have a great support system in the Fast Lane Accelerator community. This is the most responsive Facebook community I’ve ever found!
What else is included?
Access to the Fast Lane Accelerator Community– Post questions and connect with other bloggers. Unlike other Facebook communities, I’ve found that this community is very active and ultra positive. Plus, it’s not just beginning bloggers. There are lots of people in the community who can answer more advanced questions. Best of all, Anna herself makes an attempt to answer just about EVERY post.
Occasional live streams – Join Anna and Tom on Facebook, and ask your questions. These live calls give you a chance to ask questions on anything that’s unclear. As well, it’s super motivating to chat directly with Anna, Tom, and the BFL family!
Templates, resource lists, and workbooks – Every unit comes with templates, lists, and workbooks that you can actually use. You’ll also find plenty of links relevant resources.
Bonuses – Check before you purchase, but Anna and Tom are sure to include some bonuses! For example, when I joined, I was given the Pinterest Explosion Course.

Pros & Cons
With every purchase or major decision come pros and cons. In this section, we’ll go over the best and worst things about Blogging Fast Lane.
Pros:
Here are my favorite things about the BFL program.
Teaches You Affiliate Sales
The Blogging Fast Lane program is a self-paced course jam-packed with valuable info. Featuring recorded lessons and video transcripts, you’ll learn from two entrepreneurs who have walked in your shoes. This pair is experts in full funnel marketing, which brings us to our first “pro.”
The course offers an introduction to marketing funnels. Once you have an understanding of the big picture, you’ll learn exactly what you need to do to optimize for affiliate sales. Because of this, you will have a clear direction of what types of content to create and what affiliates to apply for.
We’ve completed half a dozen blogging and marketing courses. Hands down, we’ve think this is the best affiliate marketing course for bloggers.
True Teachers
Best of all for this affiliate marketing course, Anna and Tom are true teachers. Although not advertised as a “class,” that’s really what it is. As soon as you enter Anna and Tom’s virtual classroom, you’ll know you made the right choice. These two know how to structure lessons, communicate, and provide resources. They have literally thought of everything!
Again, because it’s self-paced, you can take as long as you need. After a year and a half of using this program, I still go back and watch sessions to refresh my memory. But, you really can follow along easily when you’re following Anna and Tom! If you still have questions, check out the amazing AI FAQ they built!
Cons:
There aren’t many cons to this program. But of course, this affiliate marketing course review needs to be fair.
Blogging as a Business
Some courses that I’ve taken offer more ideas for making passive income. However, as I mentioned before, this course is heavy into affiliate sales. If you want to sell your own products, sell spots on the group trip you’ve organized, or learn more about social media, this probably isn’t the course for you. That’s okay, because this course doesn’t advertise to help you with any of those aspects! However, I’m including it because I have taken courses that include more ways to monetize.
If you can’t tell, I believe the benefits outweigh the cons. What I learned in the program, I could have never learned on my own!
How to Sign Up for BFL’s course
Are you ready to sign up for this amazing affiliate marketing program? At the time of this post, the blogging course is offered after watching the webinar for around $697.
To start, head to the webinar, and watch til the end. At that time, you can sign up! Or, take a few days to think about it. Anna and Tom will send you some reminder emails.
Although webinars can be a bit sales-y, this isn’t true with Anna and Tom. During the webinar, you will have a chance to really get to know the program and its instructors. If you feel like it’s a good fit for where you are with your blog, enroll! You’ll have access to the digital materials immediately and the Facebook family upon approval.
If you’re unsatisfied or decide the course isn’t for you, you can contact Anna and Tom for an action-based refund. (In other words, you must complete and implement all of the work, and show how it didn’t grow your blog.) This shouldn’t be the case since their materials are out of this world, but things happen. In any case, please confirm this as the policy may have changed at the time of this post.
